Position Overview:

We are seeking a Director, Finance Business Partner for Established Medicines to enhance our finance operations. This role will closely align with the business unit to cultivate a dynamic partnership with both Operations and Finance management.

The selected candidate will oversee Budgeting/Forecasting and Month-end activities for Established Medicines. Responsibilities include generating business insights and analyses while facilitating budgeting and forecasting processes. Collaboration with Senior Leadership and team members across various disciplines, including Accounting and Finance, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the company's business model, strategy, and operations, identifying key value drivers and risks to provide relevant insights for informed decision-making. Strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly are crucial.

  • Establish strong partnerships with the business to ensure accurate and timely resource allocation planning, budget forecasting, and financial measurement tracking.
  • Exhibit commercial insight by understanding the new product launch process and identifying key financial enablers for effective resource planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Established Medicines, Business Development, and HQ in China to shape and develop the business collaboration model for sustainable growth.
  • Analyze business reports and financial data with a comprehensive understanding of US tax regulations, GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Utilize MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and financial/reporting systems to enhance transparency in reporting, working with business leaders to understand expenditures and drive efficiencies.
  • Support the Budget/Forecasting and Lifecycle Management processes by managing communications and maintaining updated forecasts.
  • Act as a liaison among various departments to support cross-functional initiatives as necessary.
  • Evaluate reports and company KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to provide informed recommendations based on results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA and/or valid CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of finance experience, including 7+ years in the Generic Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in supporting new product launches.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, reporting, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and risk management.
  • Passionate about business excellence and continuous improvement in a cost-effective environment.
  • Highly self-motivated, diligent, with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously, including generating ad-hoc management analyses to support business decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
