About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Firmenich. As a key member of our US Finance Operations team, you will play a critical role in tracking and analyzing expenses and production costs for several production sites in the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor plant controlling activities, provide cost analysis, and maintain scorecards in accordance with Group and Financial procedures.
  • Supply Chain Support: Assist local supply chain teams in performance measurement, management reviews, cost reduction, working capital optimization, and investment decisions.
  • Financial Planning: Participate in Period End Monthly Closing, support the local Finance & Administration team, and manage the development of quarterly latest estimates and annual budgets for plants.
  • Standard Costing: Review and set annual standard costs, ensure compliance with Standard Rules & Guidelines, and contribute to building performance improvement action plans.
  • Control and Audit: Participate in Control and Audit activities led by Finance & Accounting, develop High Level Control activities, and analyze COGS variances in accordance with Group Controlling & Financial procedures.
  • Costing and Inventories Management: Assist in providing a strong understanding of expenses to local operations organizations and support costing and inventories management activities with local supply chain management, F&A, and other Controllers.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics, or Master's in Finance.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing controlling, with knowledge or desire to learn about product cost accounting.
  • Skills: Proficient with all IT solutions, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and SAP FICO experience is highly desired.
  • Cultural Competence: Experienced in working with multi-cultural teams throughout the world.
  • Communication and Organization: Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
