Position Summary

We are thrilled to announce a newly established role within our international IT division for a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer. This position is pivotal in overseeing and managing a diverse array of essential technologies across our global infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical position that offers numerous opportunities to engage with innovative technologies in both testing and production settings.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer will engage with technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, and Remote Desktop Services. A robust understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, subnets, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and VPNs is essential.
  • Oversee the deployment, management, and continuous support of infrastructure and systems across the Americas.
  • Manage the deployment and ongoing support of the global virtual server environment.
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory and Entra (including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Execute ad-hoc and project-based implementation tasks.
  • Maintain the SCCM and Intune environment to facilitate the deployment of new desktop operating system releases, vendor patches, commercial software, and public domain software.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers as needed.
  • Manage incidents in close coordination with global support teams.
  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation.
  • Gather information in unstructured and undocumented settings.
  • Monitor infrastructure to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Support backup and restore operations using Avamar and Veeam.
  • Act as an escalation point for the service desk team to resolve support inquiries.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who thrives on problem-solving and takes initiative to drive technical solutions while prioritizing the needs of end users, with a solid foundation in networking, Microsoft products, and virtualization.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a 3rd line support or systems administration role within a managed service provider or a large organization.
  • Fluent business Spanish is a requirement.
  • Strong experience with installation, configuration, and management of Windows Server 2008 R2 and later, as well as Windows 10/11.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Active Directory, including Domains, Organizational Units, FSMO roles, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Experience in creating, testing, and assigning Group Policy objects.
  • Familiarity with VMware ESX and vSphere Platform.
  • Knowledge of Citrix XenApp and Citrix NetScaler.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
  • Basic PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Proficient in policy creation and deployment using Intune.
  • Good grasp of server, storage, and networking concepts such as RAID, fibre channel, WIFI, ethernet, and fibre optics.
  • Experience with file services like NAS and DFS.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Americas for specific projects and support needs, including out-of-hours and weekend work.
  • Basic SQL Server configuration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with remote support technologies such as Bomgar and RDP.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Client-focused and self-motivated, capable of working independently.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills, involving appropriate stakeholders in the process.
  • Highly motivated with a focus on continuous improvement and quality promotion.
  • Ability to manage incidents to resolution, maintaining meticulous attention to detail and planning.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and a desire to adhere to established procedures.
