Job Overview:
Dewberry Engineers Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated Municipal Infrastructure Project Leader to join our team in Panama City, FL. We are looking for a proactive and client-oriented Engineer with a strong background in municipal infrastructure projects, complemented by excellent technical and consulting abilities.

Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will oversee various civil engineering tasks and collaborate with our team on projects related to water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway infrastructure for both public and private sector clients. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing all phases of municipal and site development project planning, design, and construction.
  • Coordinating engineering efforts with a multi-disciplinary project design team.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of client and project milestones.
  • Overseeing project scope and budget management.
  • Preparing design drawings, contract documents, and technical specifications.
  • Conducting engineering reports and feasibility studies.
  • Estimating probable project costs.
  • Reviewing shop drawing submissions and contractor payment requests.
  • Providing engineering services during the construction phase.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4-6+ years of progressive experience in public and private sector water and wastewater projects.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in municipal infrastructure analysis, design, permitting, funding, and construction administration is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic modeling and GIS software.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks, preparing bid documents, reports, calculations, and project deliverables while reviewing designs from others.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing engineering work and interfacing with municipal clients.
