Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Security Specialist to join our team at FSS Technologies. As a key member of our installation and configuration team, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation and configuration of security and fire systems hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of security and fire systems hardware, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all company policies and industry regulations, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Assist in creating documentation and reports for security assessments and audits, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Complete assigned training modules and certifications within specified timelines, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Accurately maintain inventory records for all hardware, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment, keeping parts and supplies in order and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to support requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring user satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the growth and success of FSS Technologies.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with iPhone/iPad and best practices, with a strong understanding of mobile device management and security.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with a collaborative and flexible approach to project execution.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to using hand and power tools, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding customer expectations.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record, with a focus on safe and responsible driving practices.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, with a focus on maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with a focus on physical fitness and stamina.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including client sites and on ladders, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility.
  • Must be able to work at heights, with a focus on safety and risk management.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, with a focus on resilience and determination.
  • Position may require travel: Up to 25%, with a focus on business development and customer engagement.
