KP LLC is seeking a skilled Human Resources Lead to become an integral part of our Corporate HR Team. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a company that values its mission and has a rich history of over 90 years.

Important Note: The ideal candidate must possess direct 'hands-on' experience and a solid understanding of daily HR operations, including talent acquisition and payroll management.

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring at least two days a week in the HR office. Occasional travel to various company locations may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete recruitment process to attract and secure top talent.
  • Serve as a backup to the HR Generalist, handling payroll and HR administrative tasks.
  • Act as a primary HR contact for all departments, providing essential support.
  • Advise employees and management on various HR matters, including leave policies, terminations, performance evaluations, and workers' compensation.
  • Mentor staff on policy interpretation and foster positive employee relations.
  • Execute administrative and compliance tasks to support the HR Department effectively.
  • Develop and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Assist in creating and delivering HR training programs.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations; review and recommend improvements to company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 5-7 years of HR experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting is essential.
  • Experience in payroll processing is required, preferably with Paylocity Payroll and HR systems.
  • Background in the printing or manufacturing sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, database management, and record-keeping is necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills are essential for gathering information, evaluating options, and making informed decisions.
  • Inspire others to excel; effectively influence team members towards achieving objectives.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently; effectively organize and prioritize tasks and time.
