Cortica is seeking a Lead Human Resources Specialist, Employee Relations to enhance our dynamic team.

In this position, you will foster a supportive workplace by offering guidance and insights to colleagues and managers regarding policy interpretation, performance management, and conflict resolution. You will promptly address employee relations inquiries and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Cortica's policies and employment regulations to ensure compliance and effective implementation. Collaborating with HR Business Partners, you will analyze employee relations data, conduct unbiased investigation interviews, assist with legal matters, and contribute to low-level risk management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching and guidance in accordance with Cortica policies and practices to all levels of employees through clear and effective communication.
  • Support first- and second-line supervisors with recommendations aligned with Cortica's performance management and corrective action best practices.
  • Offer informed suggestions for conflict resolution to first- and second-line supervisors.
  • Address employee relations inquiries and requests in line with departmental service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with payroll and other departments as necessary to ensure timely resolution of inquiries.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Cortica's policies and procedures related to employee experience and human resources.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to analyze employee relations data and identify trends or areas needing attention across the organization.
  • Conduct impartial entry-level investigation interviews, documenting findings and collaborating with HR Business Partners for resolution.
  • Assist in the management of human resources data and documentation, including gathering materials for legal matters.
  • Stay informed about state and federal employment laws and updates, implementing necessary legal changes to Cortica's policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and HR Business Partners on entry-level risk management assessments.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and others to develop and deliver human resources and employee relations training across the organization.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping practices.
  • Occasionally travel to local Cortica centers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources.
  • At least 1 year of experience in conflict resolution or a related employee relations field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 applications.
