Position Summary:

As a Cosmetic Sales Specialist, also referred to as a Beauty Advisor, your primary responsibility is to cater to the beauty needs of our clientele to enhance sales performance. You will serve as both a product expert and a beauty enthusiast, dedicated to making our customers feel beautiful and self-assured. Your role involves establishing a loyal client base and nurturing strong relationships to achieve sales targets. You will embrace innovative selling techniques and engage with customers through various communication channels, including virtual consultations and phone interactions. Additionally, you will provide personalized consultations, which may include applying makeup and demonstrating products.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries
  • Utilize your product knowledge to offer tailored advice based on customer preferences and needs
  • Introduce customers to beauty products and develop a rapport to uncover additional needs
  • Demonstrate the application of beauty products directly on customers
  • Maintain the organization, presentation, and replenishment of stock
  • Leverage our clientele program to foster customer relationships, achieve sales objectives, and promote product launches
  • Participate in promotional events to maximize sales and meet personal sales goals
  • Stay informed about Macy's beauty product offerings and industry trends
  • Complete all required training, including vendor and virtual training sessions
  • Process new merchandise, manage damages, and prepare items for vendor returns
  • Utilize point-of-sale technology to facilitate sales and fulfill customer orders
  • Adhere to hygiene standards and compliance procedures for asset protection

Who You Are:

  • At least one year of experience in customer service or sales is required
  • Previous experience in cosmetic or fragrance sales is advantageous

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent use of computers and cash registers
  • Capable of reaching, crouching, kneeling, and discerning colors
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
