Position Summary

The Sales Support Specialist will initially dedicate three months to studying and acquiring four essential licenses: Life & Health, S.I.E. (Securities Industry Essentials), Series 6, and Series 63. Upon successful completion of the licensing process, the individual will transition into the role of an Internal Wholesaler.

As an Internal Wholesaler (IW), you will collaborate with External Wholesalers to represent Insurance Carriers, providing education and assistance to financial professionals in integrating our financial products into their practices and with their clients. The IW will address any service issues or sales/marketing tasks as directed by their manager or external partner. Additionally, the IW will work to strengthen and promote the Insurance Carrier's brand through exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Internal Wholesaler, you will serve as the primary liaison between the External Wholesaler, financial professionals, and the organization. Daily, you will engage with multiple financial professionals to understand their needs and identify optimal solutions for their clients. You will also coordinate with our marketing team to ensure financial professionals have all necessary resources once engagement begins. Furthermore, you will contribute insights into our processes and tools and occasionally work on special projects to support WealthVest and the Insurance Carrier's commitment to continuous improvement.

Initial Expectations

  • Complete onboarding and integration into WealthVest.
  • Commence studying for your licenses.

Post-Licensing Expectations

  • Shadow experienced IWs to learn effective communication strategies with Financial Advisors.
  • Conclude onboarding by completing any required online training.
  • Rapidly familiarize yourself with the Insurance Carrier(s) history, culture, and vision.
  • Gain proficiency in the team's tools, processes, and reporting systems.
  • Become adept with WealthVest's platforms and systems.
  • Observe calls with other IWs and peers, as well as other personnel within our organization.

First Month as an Internal Wholesaler

  • Provide adequate phone coverage as part of the team during business hours.
  • Develop knowledge of Annuity products.
  • Enhance skills in positioning solutions for financial professionals.
  • Understand key competitors to WealthVest and the Insurance Carrier, and learn to effectively position our offerings against them.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our CRM.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales presentations, outbound calls, inbound calls, and other customer service-related communications.

Six Months into the Role

  • Master all aspects of the Insurance Carrier(s) brand and effectively communicate it to financial professionals.
  • Become acquainted with various teams and departments at WealthVest and their contributions to the company's success.
  • Collaborate with External Wholesalers, New Business, and Marketing to support our clients, the financial professionals, in achieving their success.

Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 per year plus variable compensation.
