Position Summary:

As a Beauty Advisor, your primary responsibility is to cater to the cosmetic needs of our clientele to enhance sales performance. You will serve as both a product specialist and a beauty enthusiast, dedicated to making customers feel confident and beautiful. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is essential for achieving sales targets. You will also embrace innovative selling techniques and engage with customers through various communication channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries
  • Utilize product knowledge to offer tailored advice based on customer preferences
  • Introduce customers to beauty products and identify their unique needs
  • Demonstrate the application of beauty products directly on customers
  • Maintain organized and well-presented stock displays
  • Engage with customers through our clientele program to foster relationships and promote sales
  • Participate in promotional events to drive sales and achieve personal targets
  • Stay informed about Macy's beauty products and industry trends
  • Complete training sessions and vendor workshops as required
  • Handle merchandise processing and returns as necessary
  • Utilize point-of-sale technology to assist with transactions
  • Adhere to hygiene standards and compliance protocols

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to Macy's values of diversity, inclusion, and respect
  • Flexible availability for various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Effective communication skills with diverse customer groups
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing customer needs
  • Resourceful in managing priorities and deadlines
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or sales
  • Prior experience in cosmetics or fragrance sales is advantageous

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent use of computers and electronic devices
  • Capability to reach, crouch, kneel, and lift items up to 25 lbs.
