Position Summary:

As a Cosmetic Sales Associate, also referred to as a Beauty Advisor, your primary responsibility is to cater to the beauty requirements of our clientele to enhance sales performance. You will act as both a product specialist and a beauty enthusiast, dedicated to ensuring our customers feel confident and beautiful. Your role involves establishing a loyal client base and fostering robust client relationships to achieve sales targets. You will embrace innovative selling techniques and be adept at engaging with customers through various communication channels, including virtual consultations and phone interactions. Additionally, you will conduct customer consultations, which may include applying makeup and demonstrating products.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs
  • Utilize your product knowledge to provide tailored advice based on customer preferences
  • Introduce customers to beauty products and build rapport to uncover additional needs
  • Demonstrate the application of beauty products directly on customers
  • Maintain the presentation, organization, and replenishment of stock
  • Engage with customers through our clientele program to build relationships, achieve sales goals, and promote product launches
  • Participate in promotional events to maximize sales and reach personal targets
  • Stay informed about Macy's beauty product offerings and industry trends
  • Complete training through Macy's educational resources, including vendor and virtual training sessions
  • Process new merchandise, manage damages, and handle returns to vendors
  • Utilize point-of-sale technology to assist in customer transactions
  • Adhere to hygiene standards and asset protection protocols

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or sales required
  • Previous experience in cosmetic or fragrance sales is advantageous

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent use of computers and cash registers
  • Capability to reach, crouch, kneel, and distinguish colors
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
