Position Summary:

As a Cosmetic Sales Associate, also referred to as a Beauty Advisor, your primary responsibility is to cater to the beauty needs of our clientele, ultimately driving sales. You will serve as both a product educator and a beauty enthusiast, specializing in enhancing our customers' confidence and beauty. Building and nurturing client relationships is key to achieving sales targets. You will also embrace innovative selling techniques and communicate effectively with customers through various channels.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in a helpful manner
  • Utilize your product knowledge to provide tailored advice based on customer preferences
  • Introduce and recommend beauty products while building rapport to uncover additional needs
  • Demonstrate product usage through actual application on customers
  • Maintain proper organization and presentation of stock
  • Leverage our clientele program to foster relationships, achieve sales goals, and promote product launches
  • Engage in pre-selling and sales events to maximize sales performance
  • Stay informed about Macy's beauty product offerings and industry trends
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills
  • Manage inventory processes, including handling damages and returns
  • Utilize point-of-sale technology to facilitate customer transactions
  • Adhere to hygiene standards and compliance protocols

Who You Are:

  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing customer needs
  • Resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or sales required
  • Prior experience in cosmetic or fragrance sales is advantageous

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent use of computers and cash registers
  • Capability to reach, crouch, kneel, and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
