The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. This position is responsible for various tasks that support the overall efficiency of our warehouse.

  • Represent East Coast Metal Distributors by maintaining a professional appearance in the provided uniform.
  • Assist in fulfilling counter sales orders and warmly greet customers upon order collection.
  • Ensure accuracy by validating items and quantities on pick tickets and transfer requests, with proper documentation. Report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Collaborate with warehouse colleagues to verify correct items and quantities, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Secure, stage, and ship orders using various methods, including LTL and UPS, while notifying the Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies in outgoing shipments.
  • Unload incoming inventory, document arrivals, and verify items against the Vendor's Packing List, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Submit packing lists for the entry of items into the warehouse inventory system.
  • Integrate inventory shipments into the existing warehouse inventory seamlessly.
  • Achieve proficiency and certification in Fork Truck Safety and Operations.
  • Utilize all material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Report any necessary service, repairs, or unsafe conditions regarding material handling equipment or warehouse properties to the Warehouse Manager and Branch Operations Manager.
  • Immediately report any injuries sustained during work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
