Shermco is currently looking for a Vice President of Financial Operations.

VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCIAL OPERATIONS

The Vice President of Financial Operations is a pivotal leadership position requiring extensive expertise in billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will possess a process-oriented mindset and will be adept at recommending and implementing technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the teams responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and billing processes.
  • Enhance cash flow management through improved billed and unbilled Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Oversee all financial and accounting policies, ensuring timely updates in the finance shared services domain.
  • Assist the CFO, treasury, and Board of Directors in preparing cash flow budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage daily financial operations and processes effectively.
  • Implement technology solutions to boost efficiency and improve service delivery to field operations.
  • Establish reporting mechanisms and maintain communication to assess performance across our extensive branch network.
  • Supervise all billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions and personnel.
  • Oversee expense and reimbursement policies, ensuring prompt processing and payment.
  • Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer service, and project management.
  • Proven track record of leading organizational change using lean six sigma or comparable methodologies.
  • Experience with financial systems and technology.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a collaborative approach that fosters organizational success.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop processes and manage both internal and external systems.
  • Prior experience in establishing a control environment within a growing organization.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, Microsoft applications, and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Experience in remote or hybrid work settings, with access to a reliable workspace and internet connection.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
