Position Overview

We are seeking a Vice President of Project Management to enhance our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves the assessment, analysis, and strategic recommendation of our project portfolio to maximize business value for the organization. The Vice President will collaborate with senior leadership to validate project recommendations and ensure optimal staffing to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to establish project delivery strategies that promote business agility while adhering to company standards.
  • Clearly communicate priorities and performance expectations, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate project intake and definition with stakeholders to ensure objectives are measurable and achievable.
  • Influence executive committees on project prioritization to align with organizational capacity and deliver maximum benefits.
  • Utilize project management methodologies to meet business objectives through effective planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Manage teams to implement complex solutions and business process initiatives from inception to stabilization.
  • Conduct demand and capacity planning to ensure efficient realization of project benefits.
  • Engage in business relationship management to identify solutions for stakeholder challenges.
  • Collaborate with executive sponsors to develop project business cases, including cost-benefit analyses.
  • Foster productive relationships with stakeholders and manage their expectations effectively.
  • Ensure change management communications are appropriately addressed for each project.
  • Encourage cross-functional teamwork among project members.
  • Prepare status reports and escalate risks and issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate benefits realization monitoring and identify mitigation strategies for completed projects.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project delivery methodologies and standards.
  • Mentor and develop staff, overseeing onboarding and career development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in project and portfolio management.
  • Experience managing software development and solution implementation projects.
  • Proficiency in developing cost models and managing budgets for complex projects.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with project delivery frameworks and project portfolio management tools.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
