The Senior Vice President of Financial Strategy will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive support and strategic collaboration concerning financial planning and analysis. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will engage closely with the organization's leadership. The role will be significantly involved in the company's strategic initiatives, including transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, financial structuring, and valuation advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide insightful analysis on business profitability on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Assess and consolidate regional and branch financial plans and economic models, delivering reliable and insightful business forecasts.
  • Enhance and maintain consistency in forecasting capabilities, fostering a proactive and action-oriented approach focused on revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across Finance, Sales, Operations, Business Development, Human Resources, and IT to elevate financial understanding and drive business outcomes through the effective application of FP&A insights.
  • Support the regular operating review process by aiding in the development of actionable business strategies and dependable forecasting methodologies.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including discounted cash flow models and comprehensive pro-forma merger model evaluations, while managing corporate financial models.
  • Lead the presentation of internal financial reports and analyses, including asset management reports, to senior leadership, investor relations, and finance and accounting teams.
  • Partner with the executive management team to facilitate strategic planning and analytical processes.
  • Deliver actionable insights aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing profitability.
  • Evaluate potential acquisitions, divestitures, and development initiatives.
  • Develop, review, and present ad-hoc reports and analyses for fundraising documents, investor inquiries, and senior management as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA or MACC preferred; CPA designation is a plus.
  • Over 15 years of progressive financial management experience, with a strong background in partnering with operations to drive profitable growth.
  • Direct experience in private equity, venture capital, or high-growth environments.
  • Proven track record in transaction execution and integration (M&A).
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Adept at thriving in a fast-paced environment and delivering significant value to the organization.
  • Demonstrated success in leading an FP&A team with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills across all organizational levels, showcasing a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience managing the budgeting and forecasting processes in a successful, large-scale organization with a distributed branch network.
  • Proficient in managing complex projects and establishing processes to drive results and productivity.
  • Mastery of key investment metrics (IRR, ROI, etc.) and complex financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Access, relational databases, and/or Tableau.
  • Experience managing a Microsoft SQL database, including the development and maintenance of queries that support all financial reporting tools and dashboards is advantageous.
  • Experience with adaptive Insights management, including integrations, modeling, and formula/forecast building is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial consolidation processes, including eliminations.
  • Thorough understanding of project accounting, particularly fixed fee and time & materials, along with the necessary steps for proper revenue recognition governance.
