Position Overview:

Your Role:

The Vice President of Operations is accountable for establishing objectives, planning, staffing, and overseeing the activities of designated departments, including Environmental Services, Nutrition and Food Services, Facilities Management, and specialized service lines such as neurosciences and orthopedics. This role involves a collaborative reporting relationship with Corporate Construction, Admitting Registration, and Volunteer Services, while supporting the vision, mission, and strategic initiatives of Methodist Health System.


Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant experience.

Experience Requirements:
Prior administrative experience in hospital management or a related specialty is preferred. Proven leadership experience within a hospital setting, ideally as an Assistant Vice President or leader in ancillary services. Demonstrated ability to innovate and redesign services to enhance clinical quality and operational efficiency. A collaborative and team-oriented approach to decision-making is essential.

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills are required, with experience in leading diverse teams and developing strategies for program excellence.

Strong leadership qualities, self-direction, sound judgment in challenging situations, and effective organizational, time management, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, along with superior verbal and written communication abilities. A detail-oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem-solving is expected.

Offer consultation and guidance to key personnel, including supervisors and clinical and non-clinical directors.

Ensure operational excellence within assigned departments, delivering quality services in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Manage human resources effectively to promote positive employee relations and uphold time and priority management standards.
