Job Overview

The Technical Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting sales initiatives by delivering expert technical knowledge and guidance throughout the sales journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Technical Support: Assist sales teams by offering in-depth technical insights during the sales process.
  • Document Management: Review technical schematics, develop part layouts, and oversee documentation essential for effective project delivery.
  • Analysis of Specifications: Evaluate customer-supplied drawings and specifications to ensure compatibility with our production capabilities.
  • Part Layout Creation: Generate comprehensive part layouts based on engineering designs and client specifications, ensuring precision and production viability.
  • Order Review: Examine and approve Purchase Orders (POs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) in accordance with company protocols and client needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales and operations teams to prepare and manage POs and SOWs, ensuring compliance with all contractual commitments.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with clients and internal teams to resolve technical questions, provide solutions, and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Facilitate Communication: Ensure smooth communication between sales, engineering, and production teams for effective project execution and timely delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
  • System Experience: Previous experience with ERP or CRM systems for managing sales and project documentation is preferred.
  • Reading Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Background in a technical sales or engineering position within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors.
  • Material Knowledge: Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing techniques, and quality standards.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Experience with rubber manufacturing processes and materials is advantageous.
  • Project Management: Certification or training in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
