Role Summary

As a Unified Communications Sales Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison for clients regarding cloud voice and unified communications (UCaaS) within Aztec's technology solutions framework. Utilizing a hybrid outside/inside sales approach, your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities with existing clients and potential prospects, conducting demonstrations and discovery meetings (both virtual and in-person), preparing client proposals, and negotiating deal closures. You will collaborate with other Aztec sales professionals to strategize account management and share opportunity insights. This role is part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial sales team focused on expanding our offerings beyond core hardware solutions, making it an excellent opportunity for sales professionals eager for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify UCaaS opportunities with current Aztec clients and qualified leads to promote cloud voice and unified communications solutions through various outreach methods.
  • Cross-sell communication solutions to existing equipment and service clients.
  • Introduce new client prospects to the Aztec technology solutions ecosystem and educate them on our comprehensive capabilities.
  • Assist account executives in proposing and closing communication leads.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through regular outreach and proactive support.
  • Gather lead information for other Aztec teams and create opportunities in our CRM.
  • Keep sales notes and profile information updated in our CRM.

Success Expectations within 90 Days:

  • Clearly articulate Aztec's value proposition and key sales programs and offerings.
  • Gain a solid understanding of market dynamics, client needs, challenges, and objections related to UCaaS.
  • Complete UCaaS sales certification and other required product training.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in our communications configuration and quoting tools.
  • Show proficiency in our CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Achieve a weekly target of 100 outbound prospecting calls and emails.
  • Make measurable progress toward sales and new client goals by reaching key milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a sales specialist, sales engineer, or solutions architect in business voice or communications systems in a client-facing role.
  • Proven ability to manage the entire sales process independently and collaboratively with other sales professionals.
  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution or equivalent experience in a B2B sales environment.
  • Ability to work onsite at our corporate headquarters.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as necessary.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
