Position Overview:

The Client Relationship Manager will oversee the designated territory and surrounding areas assigned within a specific market. This role focuses on cultivating strong relationships with store managers and personnel to meet defined short and long-term performance goals at selected retail locations. Responsibilities include comprehensive sales coverage, ensuring timely product placement, compliance with store layouts, conducting pricing assessments, promoting sales initiatives, and effective product merchandising, all aimed at driving additional sales volume.

Ideal Candidate:

The perfect candidate is a driven individual who will represent our clients effectively and promote their products within Natural and Specialty retail environments. Candidates should be personable, highly organized, and possess a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

In-Store Duties:

  • Promote and sell display programs to independent natural retailers sourcing from key distributors.
  • Facilitate the sale of additional quantities for displays and temporary price reductions based on promotional initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with store managers and buyers through exceptional communication and follow-up.
  • Secure distribution and placement of new client products at independent natural retailers.
  • Identify and address product gaps in store offerings.
  • Optimize product placement on shelves to enhance visibility and sales.
  • Participate in retailer resets when necessary.
  • Conduct audits and pricing surveys in stores as needed.

Communication:

Provide management with insights on competitive and market activities. Utilize provided technology to report on performance outcomes. Regularly review and set performance objectives with the Sales Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in the Natural Food Industry is preferred.
  • Must have adequate space at home for storing product samples.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and sales skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members, peers, management, and external contacts.
  • Basic proficiency in Office applications (Outlook, Excel) is required, including managing emails and calendars and handling basic Excel workbooks.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance are necessary, along with the ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Physical capability to perform essential job functions, including lifting, standing, and repetitive motions.

This position requires driving on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing, and any DUI/DWI conviction within the past 36 months will disqualify the candidate.
