Position Summary

As a Shift Supervisor - Unarmed, you will oversee the security operations of a high-profile client's facility and its surrounding areas during your designated shift. Your role involves executing general security responsibilities aimed at protecting individuals and property while enforcing relevant policies, rules, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate emergency notifications as required by site-specific Post Orders.
  • Guide and instruct team members in their duties.
  • Cross-train security officers to enhance versatility and operational efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations to management for productivity improvements and cost reductions.
  • Suggest enhancements for physical security assessments and post orders.
  • Advise on personnel actions for those under your supervision.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and training for security officers assigned to your shift.
  • Ensure compliance with contract-required training and screening for security personnel.
  • Maintain overtime within acceptable limits as designated by Allied Universal.
  • Regularly inspect security personnel and their performance to ensure quality service and contract adherence.
  • Perform related administrative functions, including payroll and incident report reviews.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and local regulations.
  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license.
  • One or more of the following qualifications is preferred:
    • Associate's degree or higher in any field.
    • Experience in active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard.
    • Background in auxiliary police or police cadets.
    • A minimum of one (1) year of verifiable security experience.
  • At least two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating:
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Ability to maintain composure during emergencies.
    • Capability to comprehend and apply written and verbal instructions, and to prepare reports.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective planning and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and coaching skills.
  • Ability to encourage teamwork and assess situations effectively.
  • Attention to detail and goal-setting capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Emergency Management Systems and FEMA Incident Command Certification (ICO 100, 200, 300).
  • Familiarity with EMS protocols, Medical First Responder, or Emergency Medical Technician certifications.
