Position Summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Shift Supervisor - Unarmed. The Shift Supervisor is tasked with ensuring the security of a high-profile client's facility, property, and surrounding area during their designated shift. This role involves executing general security responsibilities as outlined in post orders, aimed at protecting individuals and property while enforcing relevant policies, rules, and regulations, thus deterring criminal activity and misconduct.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.
  • Guide and instruct team members on their duties.
  • Cross-train officers to enhance versatility and operational efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations to management for productivity and cost-saving measures.
  • Suggest improvements for physical security assessments and post orders.
  • Advise on personnel actions for those under direct supervision.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training for security officers assigned to the shift.
  • Ensure compliance with training and screening requirements for security personnel.
  • Maintain overtime within established limits set by Allied Universal.
  • Regularly assess service quality and contract adherence by inspecting security personnel performance.
  • Carry out additional operational functions, including payroll and incident report reviews.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Current and valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Must meet one of the following criteria:
    • Associate's degree or higher in any field.
    • Active-duty military service, military reserves, or National Guard.
    • Experience as auxiliary police or police cadets.
    • At least one (1) year of verifiable and successful security experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating:
    • Exceptional customer service abilities.
    • Ability to maintain composure during emergencies.
    • Capability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions, and to prepare reports.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to write clearly and informatively.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Skills in coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members.
  • Active listening and teamwork encouragement skills.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations accurately.
  • Competence in synthesizing facts and concepts.
  • Quickly identify critical issues.
  • Ability to compile, sort, and interpret data.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Emergency Management Systems and FEMA Incident Command Certification (ICO 100, 200, 300).
  • Knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder, or Emergency Medical Technician training.
