Conditions of Employment- Work may require driving or traveling by motor vehicle and occasionally involves regular and recurring exposure to moderate risk or discomforts that require special safety precautions.
- Pass a Background Investigation (BI) and maintain eligibility for a clearance at the Secret level.
- Possess United States' Citizenship or be a U.S. National.
- Successfully complete the Transportation Security Inspector (TSI) Basic Training Curriculum and all mode-specific Training/Certifications.
- Successfully complete all required cybersecurity training(s) as assigned.
- Must meet any required medical, psychological and physical guidelines for TSIs.
- Be willing to undertake extensive travel, routinely overnight, as required.
- Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Must be available, as needed, to respond to security-related crisis or incidents to protect U.S. transportation interests within the U.S. and possibly worldwide.
- Must be available to work various shifts, including frequently changing and uncommon tours of duty.
- Must successfully pass both pre- and post-employment drug and/or alcohol testing.
- Position required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5
CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). - You must have reached the minimum age (18) at the time of application.
- Selective Service registration is required.
- Must be able to work under arduous conditions such as traversing rough terrain and uneven surfaces, prolonged standing, bending, and stooping to observe work operations.
To qualify for the SV-G pay band (equivalent to the GS-5/7/9), you must meet one of the qualification requirements (A, B, OR
C) outlined below:
- Experience:
For those qualifying using experience, your application must clearly outline three (3) years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. - Education:
Bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field from an accredited college or university.

Education and Experience:
Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.

Specialized Experience Is Defined As:
- Utilizing knowledge of cyber security architecture to provide expert advice on a variety of complex Cybersecurity and Information Technology (IT) issues.
- Applying knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities with an awareness of adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures to identify issues that could impact IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems and infrastructure.
- Utilizing data collection and performance metrics to conduct detailed analyses of complex issues affecting risk assessments and cybersecurity compliance checks.
OR
- Achievement of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
- Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
- LL.M., if related.
OR
- Combining
Education and Experience:
Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education, beyond the second year, and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for this position.

- Leading coordination/collaboration efforts related to planning, coordination and implementation of cybersecurity assessment and outreach programs.
