Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned IT Security Operations Manager who thrives in collaborative environments, adept at tackling complex challenges, overseeing multifaceted projects, and engaging with diverse stakeholders. This role is tailored for individuals with extensive domain knowledge and the capability to juggle multiple initiatives within the IT and Security sectors.

The primary responsibility is to act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for all IT and Security functions. This encompasses software and hardware acquisition and management, identity governance, and partnering with consultants to cultivate and sustain a robust enterprise security framework aligned with our revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Security Strategy & Operations: Mitigate risks, supervise security solutions, manage incident responses, and collaborate across departments with Legal & Compliance, as well as executive stakeholders, to ensure a comprehensive approach.
  • Oversee IT Infrastructure & Services: Manage IT operations across various regions spanning 8+ time zones, ensuring effective management of hardware, software, and internet services, while establishing and meeting service level agreements (SLAs) to enhance employee productivity through tool optimization.
  • Promote a Secure & Efficient IT Environment: Oversee software lifecycle management, manage employee devices across different operating systems, and foster a strong security culture through training and best practices.
  • Budget Management & Governance: Collaborate with Finance to define and oversee the IT budget, manage equipment and solutions for various offices, and create and maintain essential IT documentation (policies, procedures).
  • Encourage Collaboration & Innovation: Work with cross-functional teams, assess and implement new security technologies, and maintain a multi-year IT cybersecurity strategy to address emerging threats and support the company's objectives.
  • Enhance Revenue through IT Services: Ensure timely completion of security questionnaires and provide technical input during RFP processes, while promptly addressing customer inquiries regarding security in collaboration with internal engineering teams.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years in IT security, information technology, or a combination thereof.
  • At least 5 years managing a modern IT technology stack, including SaaS productivity tools (e.g., Slack, GSuite, Atlassian suite) and Mac inventory.
  • Proven experience in developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments and audits.
  • Familiarity with security technologies and controls (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, XDR/EDR, encryption, authentication, tokenization, etc.).
  • Experience in incident response and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proficient with at least one project management tool (e.g., Jira).
  • Experience managing a high-performance IT Help Desk within SLAs.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, with the ability to guide build-vs-buy decisions and integration timelines.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Preferred: Relevant certifications (ITIL, CITP, CISA, etc.).

Compensation Package:

  1. Competitive salary based on experience and skills, ranging from $103,500 - $129,500.
