Position Summary:

The Family Support Aide plays a vital role within the Outreach Works team, assisting Visit Supervisors in providing transportation and other program-related duties. The primary objective is to support the Supervised Visitation Team in enhancing families' self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to Outreach Works regulations and policies.
  • Engage in required training programs.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be capable of operating a vehicle for participant transportation and agency-related tasks.
  • Support SV workers and the SV Team Lead by delivering additional services as outlined in family service plans.
  • Communicate the outcomes of activities to the assigned SV worker or supervisor.
  • Work evening and weekend shifts as necessary.
  • Demonstrate basic computer proficiency.
  • Participate in team and agency meetings.
  • Complete other assigned duties as required.
  • Maintain mandatory office attendance.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience or training, preferably in human services, youth and family services, or the court system.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software is required.

Certifications:

Must have or be eligible to obtain current ACT 33 (Child Abuse) and 34 (Criminal Background) Clearances. Additional clearances may be required.

Supervisory Role:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, with occasional travel in high-crime or low-income areas. Local, regional, and occasional long-distance travel may be necessary. The ability to engage with youth and families is crucial.

Physical Requirements:

Employees may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and navigate various environments, including agency facilities, community settings, and client homes.
