Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Personal Care Aide to join our team at Interim HealthCare of NEPA. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work one-on-one with physically and mentally disabled children, providing hands-on care and support in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance to students with special needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assist students with daily living activities, such as feeding, grooming, and mobility.
  • Support students with behavioral challenges, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Document student progress and report any changes or concerns to the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 6 months experience in a related field, such as behavioral health or pediatrics.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
