Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing service delivery and ensuring compliance with company policies while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold and enforce company policies regarding safety, ethics, conduct, and appearance.
  • Ensure materials are utilized safely and efficiently, minimizing damage.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all service vehicles.
  • Monitor vehicle and equipment performance, requesting maintenance as needed.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols to protect oneself, clients, colleagues, and the company.
  • Complete assigned jobs with a focus on accident-free performance.
  • Report all injuries to the HR Department immediately.
  • Inform the Field Supervisor/Manager of any injuries, safety concerns, unresolved client complaints, or other issues.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Field Supervisor/Manager.
  • Accurately clock in and out in accordance with company policy.
  • Review service and repair processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Respond promptly to client service and repair requests, completing tasks as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance company operations.
  • Submit work orders and RFPs following the completion of service calls.
  • Manage inventory on service vehicles and ensure all tools are secured daily.
  • Submit all work orders and packing slips by the end of each day.
  • Address any non-repairable issues immediately while on-site.
  • Ensure all personal tools are taken home daily, as the company is not liable for lost or stolen items.
  • Report any damage to client property or equipment to the Service Manager.
  • Discuss purchasing or scheduling needs with the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Attempt to resolve client complaints before escalating to the Foreman.
  • Verify the quantity and type of materials received before use on service calls.
  • Proactively seek ways to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Maintain professional relationships with trades, suppliers, and clients.
  • Provide training to other employees when requested.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Trade School Graduate in Electrical Apprenticeship

Experience:

  • 5 years of proven experience in managing field operations within the construction sector, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • 5 years of experience in automated shade installation, window coverings, and home automation systems.
  • 5 years of experience in the electrical trade.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Ability to discuss financial and business matters effectively.
  • Capable of interpreting safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Familiarity with electrical field concepts and terminology.
  • Proficient in project management from initiation to completion.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and resilience in various work situations, including general indoor/outdoor settings with varying noise, temperature, and dust levels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend.
  • Visual and auditory capabilities, including close and peripheral vision.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from low to high, up to 80 lbs.
