Job Overview


The Field Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and orchestrating the on-site workforce to achieve maximum productivity, effectiveness, and timely execution of project tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Provide unwavering support for the Company's dedication to safety and its foundational values.

Uphold the Company's reputation at all times with integrity while complying with the Company's ethical standards.

Work closely with the project's leadership team to establish and uphold construction timelines, financial plans, performance indicators, and progress reports; may manage client submissions and approvals.

Supervise and engage in the staffing and management of field personnel, including recruitment, onboarding, promotions, and separations.

Oversee the efficient use of materials, facilities, and equipment; evaluate staff performance and compile summary reports of site activities for stakeholders.

Ensure all regulatory requirements are met to comply with construction and safety standards. Maintain and track necessary state and local certifications.
Guarantee adherence to all company policies and operational protocols. Address inquiries and clarify policies as needed. Document infractions and suggest corrective measures when necessary.
Foster a safe working environment for all team members. Aid in the rollout of safety training and orientation initiatives.
Identify and resolve operational challenges and issues as they arise.
Assess procedures and equipment requirements to implement the most effective methods for managing workload.
Supervise the upkeep, repair, procurement, and utilization of field construction machinery.
Manage and allocate construction overhead budgets.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience in construction; 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Prior experience and comprehensive knowledge of construction operations, including technology, tools, and methodologies.
Strong understanding of Aboveground Storage Tanks, with a focus on maintenance and repair experience is essential.
Proven ability in planning, organizing, and staffing projects.
Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients, field workers, engineers, and project leaders.

Capability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents such as codes, specifications, drawings, and reports, and prepare detailed work plans for specific projects.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Physical/Special Requirements

Occasional overtime and frequent travel between field sites may be necessary for this role. The job involves standing and walking for short periods, but most tasks are performed while seated.

Work may involve occasional lifting, pushing, or carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds, such as files, documents, and computer printouts.

The role typically requires finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.

Compensation

California law mandates the inclusion of pay information in job postings. The typical salary range for this position in California is outlined below.

The pay rate will be influenced by the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other relevant factors.

As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one end of this range, and in certain cases, may exceed the listed hiring range.


Salary Range:
$140,000 to $175,000 annually
