About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Patient Account Representative to join our team at Guidehouse. As a key member of our healthcare billing team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and follow-up on patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Resolution: Resolve patient account balances by contacting third-party payers and guarantors electronically and via phone.
  • Billing and Follow-up: Verify payments received are correct per our contract and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop staff on billing and follow-up procedures, including creating and maintaining training manuals.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Run daily WIP reports and communicate trends to management, complete assigned spreadsheets and reports timely.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure the hospital is in compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations, both billing and HIPAA.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma.
  • Experience: 1-3 years billing or follow-up experience in the healthcare field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, and knowledge of Metrix and Waystar Billing Systems.
