About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Representative to join our team at Guidehouse. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our billing systems and resolving insurance claims in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and resolve accounts from the Metrix work queue by contacting insurance companies for resolution and payment.
  • Ensure all claim edits in the Waystar billing system and SSI billing system are resolved and billed within 24 hours or less.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and insurance-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, insurance policies, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in hospital billing, non-government insurance, and claim edits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of diagnosis, HCPCS, and CPT codes.
