Job Summary:

The Patient Account Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate payment of medical claims. This position involves reviewing accounts from the Metrix work queue, contacting insurance companies for resolution, and ensuring all claim edits in the Waystar billing system and SSI billing system are resolved and billed within 24 hours. This is an onsite position with office hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and resolve medical claims from the Metrix work queue
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve payment issues
  • Ensure all claim edits are resolved and billed within 24 hours
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve billing and payment goals

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in hospital billing, non-government insurance, and claim edits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of diagnosis, HCPCS, and CPT codes
