Job Summary:

The Patient Account Representative plays a vital role in ensuring seamless interactions with insurance companies to resolve accounts and facilitate timely payments. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of experience in hospital billing, with a focus on non-government insurances. Additionally, proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of diagnosis, HCPCS, and CPT codes are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review accounts from the Metrix work queue and contact insurance companies for resolution and payment
  • Ensure all claim edits in the Waystar billing system and SSI billing system are resolved and billed within 24 hours
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve denials and insurance follow-up
  • Utilize MS Excel to analyze and report on billing data
