Nutrition Services Call Center Supervisor at Massachusetts General Hospital

This position operates under the guidance of the Manager of Patient Menu and Data Systems at Massachusetts General Hospital. As a Nutrition Services Call Center Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include managing incoming calls and accurately recording requests. You will also facilitate information flow to enhance the patient menu process and aid in the training of new staff and dietetic interns.

  • Respond to phone inquiries in a professional manner and log requests in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assess and prioritize requests, directing them to the appropriate service delivery personnel.
  • Continuously track the status of order deliveries to ensure timely service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and document the completion of orders within the designated software.
  • Engage with supervisors regarding patient requests and any safety concerns.
  • Educate new team members on call center operations and uphold high standards of customer service.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with colleagues and management.
  • Comply with food handling regulations and procedures.
  • Carry out assigned tasks while maintaining a tidy work environment.

  • Proficient in computer usage and typing.
  • Capability to execute basic mathematical tasks and manage priorities effectively.

  • Minimize waste effectively.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Previous experience in food service is advantageous.
