Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. As a key member of our Registration Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Appointment Management: Check-out appointments, create follow-up visits or recalls, and book, cancel, or reschedule appointments as needed for patients walking in.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Communication: Answer phones, document clear and concise telephone encounters or RX refill requests, and route them appropriately.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Navigation: Navigate and document in the EMR system to access relevant and appropriate information.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or administrative experience.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with electronic medical record technology is a plus.
