Role Summary: As the Senior Vice President of our Automation and Manufacturing division, you will lead a specialized team of professionals, ensuring the financial and operational success of our spaceflight systems. This position provides a unique opportunity to implement and enhance automation solutions at an elite level, guaranteeing quality and efficiency in the production of groundbreaking spaceflight technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and execute automation strategies (including A.I, Robotics, Software, and Hardware) to transform manufacturing capabilities across all Blue Origin facilities.
  • Champion operational excellence by devising innovative solutions to scale manufacturing, minimize costs, enhance throughput, and boost productivity while upholding quality standards.
  • Develop and implement data-driven systems to optimize scheduling, planning, and reporting, effectively reducing labor costs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, instilling Lean principles throughout the Operations Organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Operations Management or Manufacturing Engineering with progressive responsibility.
  • 15+ years of demonstrated leadership in manufacturing, particularly in automation and tooling.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within automated manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and grow large teams in a multi-business unit manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in building or transforming successful operations organizations and leading large-scale change initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge in designing and delivering automated manufacturing processes.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful residency is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of manufacturing experience in aerospace or related industries, with a recent focus on factory automation.
  • Master's degree in engineering, operations, or business.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Toyota Production System.
  • Experience with various manufacturing processes including metal machining, composites, and welding.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, emphasizing teamwork and customer satisfaction.
