Role Overview:
This position plays a pivotal role in the advancement and operation of New Glenn, a versatile heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle designed for regular transport of personnel and cargo to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar space, and beyond.

With a fully reusable first stage, this vehicle is engineered from the outset to accommodate human missions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate integration project plans and lead cross-functional teams, while managing and reporting on progress.
  • Identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Create metrics and data reports to deliver insights into program performance.
  • Facilitate change management boards to evaluate the impact of change requests on the program.
  • Drive continuous process enhancements to optimize program operations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure hardware priorities are clearly understood and managed to meet deadlines.
  • Identify critical hardware, personnel, and facilities, resolving any constraints.
  • Define operational and production strategies to achieve program goals.
  • Oversee the implementation of operations and production strategies through project assignments, budget tracking, and stakeholder integration.
  • Act as the functional lead for strategic technical projects and tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with supporting functions to maintain project timelines.
  • Independently manage long-term objectives, determining technical goals and developing solutions.
  • Apply project management principles to create executable plans and innovative solutions for complex challenges.
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Genuine enthusiasm for Blue Origin's mission of enabling human life in space.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Over 6 years of project management experience in aerospace or technical systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to build trusting relationships that enhance team performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster trust and maintain professional relationships, contributing to an inclusive culture.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.
Preferred:
  • Experience in developing launch vehicles or complex systems.
  • Experience leading small technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in change management and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of technical risk management.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Tableau.
  • Project Management credentials are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with critical path scheduling, risk management, and cost account management.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in large, geographically dispersed programs.
