About the Role:

Maxar Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our team of sales professionals in selling our WeatherDesk and ClimateDesk solutions. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving go-to-market activities, directing sales activity, and defining sales strategies to achieve 6-figure sales quotas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive go-to-market activities for established and new offerings
  • Direct sales activity and revenue delivery within the line of business
  • Define and refine sales strategies for sales and customer-focused activities
  • Coach sellers in all aspects of the sales process, including rigorous qualification of customer opportunities
  • Influence cross-functional teams to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for customers and Maxar
  • Articulate customer requirements to multiple Maxar stakeholders and leaders
  • Drive internal processes in collaboration with Finance, Legal, Ops, Product, and Engineering

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Weather Science, or equivalent experience in industry
  • 7-10 years of experience carrying a sales quota
  • 3-5 years of experience leading sales teams

  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Team player and demonstrated high level of integrity
  • Demonstrates creativity in developing winning solutions
  • Able to continuously motivate teams when faced with aggressive growth targets
  • Skilled in prioritizing to drive maximum revenue impact when faced with multiple, competing demands on time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong knowledge of relevant technologies, products, services, and methods
  • Excellent industry and market awareness
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Able to manage a budget
  • Able to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Experience with Sandler Sales Methodology or similar

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $92,000.00 - $194,000.00 annually, with a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
