Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to identify and secure new customers in commercial markets, engaging in lead generation and negotiations to close significant deals.
  • Manage and enhance existing multi-million-dollar accounts by fostering strong relationships with key clients, creating account strategies, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external C-suite leaders, building partnerships with key stakeholders and participating in strategic planning discussions.
  • Expand Maxar's satellite imagery offerings into various commercial sectors, including mapping, automotive, telecom, energy, and technology, by staying updated on industry trends and seizing new market opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and provide regular updates on sales performance.
  • Analyze market data to uncover growth opportunities and develop actionable business plans.
  • Align customer needs with Maxar's solutions by preparing and delivering compelling proposals and presentations, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Monitor sales metrics and key performance indicators using CRM tools, tracking activities and adjusting strategies based on performance insights.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in software and/or data licensing.
  • Strong organizational skills and comprehensive sales knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Proven experience in managing large customer accounts and closing multi-million-dollar deals.
  • Thorough understanding of the sales process.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline within Salesforce.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to receive feedback and coaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Geography, or Remote Sensing.
  • Master's Degree in Business (MBA).
  • 10+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
  • Knowledge of mapping, satellite imagery, or geospatial products.
  • Familiarity with Sandler sales methodology or a willingness to learn.
