Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Wafer Fabrication Section Lead for Etch Processes to join our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMSD) Department at Raytheon Careers. This role requires a broad understanding of microelectronics processing techniques to lead a team of skilled process engineers responsible for maintaining and improving the wafer foundry's dry etch and wet etch chemical processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct a team of process engineers to fabricate advanced microelectronic devices in accordance with various technology roadmaps in support of Raytheon business pursuits.
  • Review process changes, identify and champion process improvement opportunities, work to improve process yields, and interface with operations management.
  • Review and oversee project schedules and costs.
  • Facilitate the effective allocation of team resources in ways to support the oversight of the foundry processes, assist in identifying future capital investment needs, and foster open communication between functional teams.
  • Work with the department manager on manpower and resource planning, controlling overhead costs, developing and delivering employee performance reviews, and developing/reviewing proposals.
  • Support management at the department, directorate, and functional leadership levels.
Requirements
  • Typically a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior work experience OR a Master's in STEM and 7 years of prior work experience OR a PhD in STEM and 4 years of prior work experience.
  • Experience in semiconductor processing or process integration.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • A Master's degree or PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field.
  • Experience working with GaAs and/or GaN semiconductor processes.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process control and related SPC software.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Customer focus and collaboration skills.
  • Project scheduling and management experience.
  • Cost Account Manager experience and/or Task Leadership experience.
  • Previous experience with a defense contractor and/or government agency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
