About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compound Semiconductor Process Engineer to join our team at Disability Solutions. As a key member of our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing innovative semiconductor processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute process development efforts to improve product yield and develop new processes and device capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot fabrication equipment and establish equipment qualification and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Develop and present process development status to the team, clearly and succinctly documenting progress and results.
  • Work autonomously with limited oversight, managing small projects and processes within area of responsibility.
  • Provide input and guidance to lower-level professionals, influencing others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parties within and outside of the department, including customers and vendors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior work experience, or Master's in STEM and 3 years of prior work experience, or PhD in STEM.
  • Experience in semiconductor processing techniques such as photo lithography, dry etching, metals evaporation, and optical or scanning electron microscope inspections.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in STEM.
  • Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing methods, such as Six Sigma.
  • Experience related to semiconductor processing, device physics, and data analysis.
  • Experience utilizing data analysis software packages, such as MATLAB, Python, SQL, and JMP.
  • Collaborative and leadership skills, with experience coordinating technical projects with diverse and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience characterizing, understanding, and improving semiconductor device performance and reliability.
