Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Process Development Engineer to join our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and executing process development efforts, improving product yield, and developing new processes and device capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute process development plans to improve product yield and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes and device capabilities
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize process parameters and improve device performance
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production teams to ensure smooth transition of new processes into production
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of prior work experience
  • Experience in semiconductor processing techniques such as photo lithography, dry etching, metals evaporation, and optical or scanning electron microscope inspections
  • Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing methods (e.g., Six Sigma)
  • Experience related to semiconductor processing, device physics, and data analysis
  • Experience utilizing data analysis software packages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, SQL, JMP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in STEM
  • Experience troubleshooting a diverse set of fabrication equipment and establishing equipment qualification and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Experience with characterizing, understanding, and improving semiconductor device performance and reliability
