Position: Intermediate Field Service Engineer

Overview:
Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises is in search of a dedicated and skilled Intermediate Field Service Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless IT operations and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all onsite IT functions and activities.
  • Collaborate with support teams, help desks, and technical staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance and operational tasks for networks and servers.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose solutions to mitigate their impact.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of technical products and equipment.
  • Deliver comprehensive services in technical support, systems refresh, software integration, and operational assistance.
  • Analyze and repair product failures, managing parts ordering and replacements as necessary.
  • Provide training for customer support personnel on-site.
  • Offer on-call support by diagnosing and resolving technical issues through the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Engage with network services and software engineering teams to restore services and address core problems.
  • Recommend modifications to systems to enhance user experience.
  • Conduct routine system maintenance and analysis, including hardware configurations and component management.
  • Implement operating system updates and patches via SCCM Software Center.
  • Provide remote support for telecommuting users.
  • Ensure user applications function correctly over VPN and Citrix.
  • Manage user relocation requests and ensure device encryption.
  • Support enterprise groups with on-site assistance, including network and security operations.
  • Facilitate the restart of network equipment as directed.
  • Assist users with mobile communication devices and provide tier 2 support.
  • Participate in physical inventory and property management tasks.
  • Ensure proper disposal of computer equipment in compliance with policies.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to video conferencing and audio/video operations.
  • Support pre/post application releases and analyze end-user support trends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications. A strong technical aptitude is essential, along with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 6 months of experience in troubleshooting Apple Macintosh software and hardware in a customer service capacity. Certifications in Microsoft Operating Systems and familiarity with SCCM for remote resolution are advantageous. Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, A+, Server+, and Security+ are preferred.

Compensation:
$19.59 per hour
