Mid- Level Field Engineer

Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises is in search of a dedicated and skilled Mid- Level Field Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all onsite information technology operations.
  • Collaborate with support teams, help desks, clients, and other technical personnel to resolve issues.
  • Oversee and execute operational and maintenance tasks for networks and servers.
  • Recognize recurring issues and propose solutions to mitigate their impact.
  • Install, diagnose, and maintain a wide range of products and equipment.
  • Deliver services and solutions in technical assistance, system updates, software integration, and operational support.
  • Identify, assess, and rectify product malfunctions, ordering and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Conduct onsite training for customer support staff.
  • Provide on-call assistance by diagnosing, researching, and resolving technical issues received through the ticketing system.
  • Engage with network services, software systems engineering, and application development to restore services and address core issues.
  • Recommend modifications to systems to minimize user challenges.
  • Perform regular system maintenance and analysis tasks, including hardware configurations and managing equipment components.
  • Implement operating system updates and patches through the designated software management system.
  • Offer remote support services for telecommuting users.
  • Ensure user applications function correctly over remote access solutions.
  • Manage requests for user relocations.
  • Guarantee that devices are properly secured and encrypted.
  • Provide onsite assistance for enterprise groups such as network and security operations.
  • Restart network devices as instructed by enterprise networking teams.
  • Assist users with mobile communication devices.
  • Deliver tier 2 support, including hardware troubleshooting, operating system reinstallation, and device swapping assistance.
  • Support physical inventory tasks as required.
  • Assist with the receipt and documentation of equipment.
  • Process computer equipment for disposal, ensuring compliance with disposal policies.
  • Ensure all devices are thoroughly wiped of data prior to leaving the facility.
  • Troubleshoot system issues related to video conferencing and audio/video operations.
  • Support pre and post-application releases.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on end-user support trends.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical proficiency.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh software and hardware in a customer service environment.
  • Certification in Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Familiarity with remote resolution tools and software installation processes.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • CompTIA Server+ certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.

Compensation Range: $19.59 / Hour
