Mid- Level Field Engineer

Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises is in search of a dedicated and skilled Mid- Level Field Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all onsite IT operations.
  • Collaborate with support teams, help desks, clients, and other technical personnel to resolve issues.
  • Oversee and execute operational and maintenance tasks for networks and servers.
  • Detect recurring issues and propose measures to mitigate their impact or occurrence.
  • Install, diagnose, and maintain a wide range of products and equipment.
  • Deliver services and solutions in technical assistance, system upgrades, software integration, and operational support.
  • Identify, assess, and rectify product malfunctions, and procure and replace components as necessary.
  • Conduct onsite training for customer support staff.
  • Provide on-call assistance by diagnosing, researching, and resolving technical issues received through the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Engage with network services, software systems engineering, and/or application development to restore service and/or identify and rectify core issues.
  • Advise on system modifications to alleviate user challenges.
  • Execute routine system maintenance and analysis tasks, including hardware configurations and the addition, removal, and replacement of equipment components.
  • Implement operating system patches, upgrades, etc. via SCCM Software Center.
  • Offer remote support services for telecommuting/home users.
  • Ensure user applications function over VPN and/or Citrix.
  • Manage user relocation requests efficiently.
  • Guarantee devices are adequately encrypted.
  • Provide onsite assistance for enterprise groups such as network and security operation centers.
  • Reboot network devices, including switches and routers as instructed by enterprise networking.
  • Assist users with mobile communication devices.
  • Deliver tier 2 support, encompassing hardware troubleshooting, OS reinstallation, and device swapping assistance.
  • Support physical inventory tasks as required.
  • Assist with the receipt and documentation of property.
  • Process computer equipment for disposal while ensuring compliance with disposal policies.
  • Ensure all devices are thoroughly wiped of data before leaving the facility.
  • Troubleshoot system issues related to video conferencing and audio/video operations and maintenance.
  • Support pre/post application releases.
  • Collect, analyze, and report end-user support trends.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical proficiency.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh software and hardware in a customer service environment.
  • Certification in Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Familiarity with SCCM remote resolution and utilizing SCCM for remote software installation.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • CompTIA Server+ certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.

Compensation Range: $19.59 / Hour
