Position: Intermediate Field Support Engineer

Overview:
Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises is in search of a dedicated and skilled Intermediate Field Support Engineer. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of IT services and support across various environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all onsite IT operations and activities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, help desks, and clients to resolve issues effectively.
  • Oversee and execute maintenance tasks for network and server infrastructures.
  • Identify and analyze recurring technical issues, proposing solutions to mitigate them.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a diverse range of hardware and software products.
  • Deliver technical support services, including systems refresh and software integration.
  • Diagnose and repair product failures, managing parts replacement as necessary.
  • Conduct training sessions for customer support staff on new systems and processes.
  • Provide on-call support, addressing technical issues via the designated ticketing system.
  • Work closely with network services and software engineering teams to restore and enhance service functionality.
  • Recommend modifications to systems to improve user experience.
  • Perform routine maintenance and system analysis, including hardware configuration adjustments.
  • Manage operating system updates and patches through the appropriate software tools.
  • Support remote users with application functionality over VPN and other platforms.
  • Facilitate user relocation requests and ensure proper device encryption.
  • Provide on-site assistance for enterprise operations, including network and security centers.
  • Assist with mobile device support and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver tier 2 support, including hardware diagnostics and operating system reinstalls.
  • Participate in inventory management and equipment disposal processes.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to audio/video systems and conferencing tools.
  • Gather and analyze data on end-user support trends for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise. Strong technical skills and problem-solving capabilities are essential. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 6 months of experience in troubleshooting Apple Macintosh systems in a customer service capacity. Relevant certifications in Microsoft Operating Systems and CompTIA (Network+, A+, Server+, Security+) are advantageous.
