Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and optimize hardware, software, and network products at customer sites.
  • Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrade, and preventive maintenance activities on Chromatography and/or Mass Spectroscopy systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction by advising on preventive maintenance and configurations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and expectations.
  • Maintain Agilent's customer service reputation by adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to Product Specialists and manufacturing or OEM vendors on performance anomalies.
  • Document time and expenses accurately in SAP and other systems.
  • Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruptions to customers' businesses.
  • Complete administrative paperwork and computer reports promptly and accurately.
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, including peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software.
  • Respond to customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during, and after service.
  • Support other field engineers and customers in the solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar).
  • 2-3+ years of experience in a similar position or experience as an end user.
  • Knowledge of Chromatography, Mass Spectroscopy instrumentation, application, installation, calibration, and validation experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Instrument Software such as OpenLab, ChemStation, Mass Hunter, or similar a plus.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% overnight.
