Mid- Level Field Engineer

Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mid- Level Field Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all onsite IT operations.
  • Collaborate with support teams, help desks, and technical personnel to resolve issues.
  • Oversee and execute maintenance and operational tasks for networks and servers.
  • Detect recurring issues and propose solutions to mitigate their impact.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of equipment and products.
  • Deliver technical support, system upgrades, software integration, and operational assistance.
  • Analyze and rectify product failures, ordering and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Conduct onsite training for customer support staff.
  • Provide on-call assistance by diagnosing and resolving technical issues through the ticketing system.
  • Engage with network services and software engineering to restore services and address core issues.
  • Suggest modifications to systems to minimize user difficulties.
  • Perform routine maintenance and analysis, including hardware configuration and component management.
  • Implement operating system updates and patches through the designated software management system.
  • Offer remote support for telecommuting users.
  • Ensure user applications function correctly over remote access systems.
  • Manage requests for user relocations.
  • Guarantee proper encryption of devices.
  • Provide onsite assistance for enterprise departments, including network and security operations.
  • Reboot network devices as instructed by enterprise networking teams.
  • Assist users with mobile devices.
  • Deliver tier 2 support, encompassing hardware troubleshooting and operating system reinstalls.
  • Support physical inventory processes as required.
  • Facilitate the receipt and documentation of equipment.
  • Process computer equipment for disposal, adhering to disposal protocols.
  • Ensure all devices are securely wiped of data prior to leaving the facility.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to video conferencing and audio/video operations.
  • Support application releases before and after deployment.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on end-user support trends.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh systems in a customer service capacity.
  • Certification in Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Familiarity with remote resolution tools and software installation processes.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • CompTIA Server+ certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.

Compensation Range: $19.59 / Hour
