Job Summary

This role involves executing a range of intricate administrative tasks related to the Registrar's Office and ensuring compliance with academic regulations. The advisor will provide guidance to students and academic advisors regarding institutional policies and may focus on specific areas such as transfer credits or student athlete eligibility. This position serves as a subject matter expert on academic policies for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

1. Advisory Role: Offer counsel to undergraduate and graduate students on institutional rules and regulations, potentially specializing in petitions and transfer credits.

2. Communication: Engage with students to assist in preparing necessary documentation, evaluate requests, and provide clarity on academic policies.

3. Collaboration: Work closely with the Assistant Registrar to make informed decisions on petitions and coordinate with various campus offices.

4. Problem Solving: Address inquiries related to academic regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements.

5. Tuition Services: Provide guidance on tuition classification and residency petitions, collaborating with relevant offices.

6. Liaison Duties: Act as a communication bridge between faculty, staff, and enrollment services.

7. Technology Coordination: Oversee projects related to database maintenance and process improvements.

8. Data Management: Compile information for audits and planning purposes.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Four to six years in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a university environment with a focus on interpreting academic regulations.

Skills

Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to interpret complex regulations, and proficiency in relevant software systems.
