Job Summary

This role involves performing complex administrative tasks related to the Registrar's Office and ensuring compliance with academic regulations. The position requires advising students and academic advisors on institutional policies and may focus on specific areas such as transfer credits or student athlete eligibility. The advisor will serve as a subject matter expert on academic policies for various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate students regarding institutional rules and regulations, specializing in areas such as faculty petitions and transfer credits.
  2. Assist students in preparing necessary documentation and evaluate requests against regulatory standards.
  3. Collaborate with the Assistant Registrar on decisions regarding petitions and certifications, coordinating with admissions and financial aid offices.
  4. Resolve inquiries related to academic policies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.
  5. Facilitate services related to tuition classification and residency petitions.
  6. Act as a liaison with faculty and staff, ensuring effective communication across campus.
  7. Oversee technology projects to enhance database management and process improvements.
  8. Compile data for audits and institutional reviews.
Qualifications

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Four to six years in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a university setting with a focus on interpreting academic regulations.

Skills and Abilities

Strong communication and organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with student information systems and MS Office suite.
