Job Summary
The Registrar Advisor will undertake complex administrative responsibilities within the Registrar's Office, ensuring compliance with academic regulations. This role involves advising students and academic advisors on institutional policies and may focus on specific areas such as transfer credits or student athlete eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate students regarding institutional rules and regulations, with potential specialization in petitions and transfer credits.
- Assist students in preparing necessary documentation and evaluate requests against regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Registrar on decision-making for petitions and certifications, coordinating with various campus units.
- Interpret and apply academic policies while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Facilitate services related to tuition classification and residency petitions.
- Act as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students to ensure effective communication.
- Oversee technology projects related to database management and process improvements.
- Compile data for audits and institutional reviews.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Four to six years in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a university environment with a focus on interpreting academic regulations is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are essential. Familiarity with student information systems and proficiency in MS Office are required.
